Ok, so we've made some changes here. Hopefully you all like it! I think by the end of the week, we''ll have a slideshow on here with a bunch of pictures! That will be fun!
I wanted to share a few pieces from the Sunday morning sermon at the Dover Link Church - a sermon delivered by my favorite preacher. Okay, I guess I'm biased... because it's my husband! One day he'll be posting his own sermons on here - - - one day when he doesn't have such a full schedule!
Keep The Faith
Luke 18:1 And he (Jesus) spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Pastor Perry explained that if you don’t pray much, you are most likely faint and probably weak in your faith - You'll find that you struggle the most, when you pray the least.
• You will find yourself struggling from day to day
• Tossing in your mind over simple decisions that otherwise would be obvious.
• Wrestling over which path to take, which direction to go
• Battling in your mind & your thought process as you once again look into the face of temptation, the enemy of your soul.
Jude 20
20 But you, dear friends, must build up your lives ever more strongly upon the foundation of our holy faith, learning to pray in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit. (TLB)
~ The amount of faith you have matches the amount of praying you do~
Want a lot of faith? Then pray a lot!
Remember, we build our most holy faith by praying in the Holy Ghost.
Facts about Faith: Found 247 times in scripture & only mentioned 2 times in the O.T.
We grow from FAITH to FAITH
We walk by FAITH
Live by FAITH
Saved by FAITH
Justified, sanctified & purified by FAITH
We stand by FAITH
We are made whole by our FAITH
We are healed by our FAITH
Every man has a measure of FAITH
We have access to GOD through FAITH, and we cannot please GOD without FAITH!
The unjust judge, a man who did not fear God and did not respect man, had at first ignored a widow who came to him to get justice because her enemy had treated her wrong.
The widow did not give up and kept going back to the judge until finally he said,"I better give her justice or else she is going to wear me out by her constant coming to me."
Then Jesus said: Luke 18:6-8, "If even an evil judge can be worn down like that, (7) don't you think that God will surely give justice to his people who plead with him day and night? (8) Yes! He will answer them quickly! But the question is: "When I, the Messiah, return, how many will I find who have faith [and are praying]?" TLB
I encourage you to read the story of the unjust judge in Matt. 18:1-8
Got faith? If not, then pray, and your faith will begin to grow!
If you are seeking God for a need, don't give up... He will answer you!
