Deliverance

Sept 13, 2015
This past weekend (9/11 and 9/12/15) was the Ohio District UPCI Ladies Conference 2015 “Joyful”, which was held in Grove City, Ohio. It was a great time of revelation for me. I have heard it all before, but this time I got it! I really heard it! I am going to share it with you and maybe you will hear it too. You may not be dealing with the same thing/ things that I was but no matter what you are dealing with, if you get it, you too can fix it! Here goes #1; I am responsible for my own salvation, not my husband, not my past, not my parents, not my children, not the world, not the cigarette company, not my ______ (whoever, fill in the blank)! Me and only me!! I cannot continue to make excuses for my sin, I am responsible!
Here goes #2; the day I went down into that water, in Jesus name, I was changed. God healed me, he delivered me, he forgave me, he loved me, I became his child, and I was given the gift of the Holy Ghost. The moment I went into the water in HIS name, He gave me the power to believe it. He gave me every single blessing that I will ever get. Now the ball is in my court. I have to pull up me big girl (boy) skirt (pants) and claim it, access it, live it!!!!
Since I decided to take a walk with Jesus and get to know him, he has made many changes in me. But I just kept holding on to this one thing. It seemed that no matter what I did, how many tears I shed, how many times I asked for deliverance, I could not shake it. But then!!! But then, these revelations hit me and there it went!! I accessed the deliverance that he had already given me the day that I was re born and I claimed it and now I am living it!! Thank you Jesus!

Finding the Right Church

Finding the Right Church Will Make All the Difference!

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 (KJV)

had been looking for the right Church for our family since we moved to Ohio. I had tried a few but neither my husband: Dan, nor my eldest son: Logan wanted to attend the Churches that I was attending. I felt it was important for my whole family to attend a Church together. There were many times that Logan attended these Churches with me, kicking and screaming of course. I just knew that it should not be this hard to get my family to give just one day to our creator.

The changes in our family have been amazing since finding the right Church for us……….

Logan has done a complete 360. I never wanted to admit it but he was becoming an angry child, he did not listen to me or to his father, and I could tell that he was going in the wrong directionI am not going to go into details but will say that as he was getting older it just seemed to be getting worse. I was losing control with my little boy who has always had such a big heart. He was hurting, he was depressed, disgusted in himself. He cried a lot and would lock himself up in his room. He later confided in me what was going on. The influence that other children in Middle School had on him, the way these other children were making him feel, scary! He was not being picked on, quite the opposite. He was pretty “popular”.  But he felt like he had to follow the crowd, even though he knew it was wrong and it was making him feel terrible. I am sure that a lot of them were, are feeling the same way. I cannot tell you how relieved I feel that we have found an outlet for him, that bringing him to God has showed him what is important and what is not.

From day one, walking into the RIGHT church has made all of the difference. ……

Instantly Logan went from kicking and screaming toI am staying the whole day at Church. Almost every week we leave for Church at 9 a.m. and Logan stays with another family for the whole day and does not get home until around 10 p.m. on Sundays. That is how much he loves being at the right ChurchIt is hard to put into words the changes that have taken place. I can see that God has something big for Logan and I am not just saying that because I am his mom. The leaders in our church see it too.

Logan no longer worries about fitting in with others that may be on the wrong path. He is now thinking about ways he can save them. He prays always, he faithfully reads his Bible, in fact he reads it daily, and has got farther than most adults I know. He is always asking questions and doing research on the Bible. He has been getting rid of all things that he feels is not pleasing to God, including games! Logan has gone from being pretty shy to leading in prayer. He has decided to start learning the drums, when before he wanted nothing to do with learning any instrument. He is no longer depressed or locking himself in his room. When he cries now, it is because he is happy and praising God. Oh yeah and he is doing much better at listening to his father and me. He is still a pre teen!

I wanted to share Logan’s story with you because maybe there is someone out there who will read this who is having the same issues or who knows someone who is going thru a difficult time. Finding the RIGHT Church makes all the difference.

My Walk

Happy New Year everyone!
I hope you enjoy this article! It brings a song to my heart: "Just a Closer Walk With Thee"

My walk with God is just that my walk, and it's going to be different than your walk. Our God is a personal God and He'll meet you where you are. We've got to love one another where we're at, try to understand and be compassionate. Realizing that our tests and trials aren't going to be the same. Even our strengths and weaknesses aren't going to be the same. Once we realize God has put this body together and we learn to trust and rely on one another, this body will be greater than we could ever imagined. To lift up our Brothers and Sisters when they're sick or feel like they can't do it anymore. To love them as Christ loves us all. To speak life and encouragement into one anothers lives. We need to realize without one another there is something truly missing. Each one of us has been given a gift, a gift to help glorify Him and His kingdom. Those gifts are our gifts but NOT for our glory. This life we've been called to is not for spectators, it requires us to step up, step out. To be uncomfortable, to be unselfish and put all of those fleshy needs behind us. Will we stumble? Probably, will we fall? Maybe. But we need to know God loves us, He wants us. He created us for a specific time and a specific purpose. Will we make that choice to love Him wholly and unconditionally? With no strings attached? The “rules” the world sees are not rules but guidelines to keep us safe and protected, like any good parent He puts them into place for purpose. The purpose is to grow us, to help shape us.

Hello 2014!

Well hello 2014! Happy New Year Everyone! What will your goals be for the new year? Fix your house? New car?  Better marriage? Better relationship with God? LOOSE WEIGHT? Better job? Get out of debt? Life style changes? Since no one is perfect we can all do some soul searching and set goals for a better self portrait in 2014! Whatever your goals are, you have a better chance of actually accomplishing them if you have accountability with a friend or group who will encourage you to succeed! "Birds of a feather flock together" is a true statement. Society teaches us: "Every man for himself" but that is not what Gods word says. ps. 133:1- Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity!
That was our goal at DAC in 2013! We will always have to work to maintain that but God really unified us last year & now, as a unified army has power, so we have been blessed and empowered to have BREAK THROUGH in 2014! We are ready to break through spiritual strongholds & for the rest of the life of DAC declare war on our enemy in JESUS name!! Lets go DAC! JUST DO IT!!
Matthew 17:21
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
AMEN!!

The favor of God

Joseph was favored by his Father & he had a coat of many colors to prove it! How many of us would want to be treated the way Joseph was treated? He was hated of his brothers, thrown into a pit, sold into slavery, thought to be dead by his father, lied on by Potiphar's wife, thrown in prison. But he was favored, becoming 2nd in command to Pharaoh.  What about Jacob? He was favored, his name changed to Israel, became the father of the nation of Israel, the people of God! One day, he was given a bloody coat & was told that his son was dead. But Jacob had favor with God, didn't he?  For 21 years Jacob believed the message from the bloody coat; your son Joseph is dead. He embraced the bloody  coat & believed it's message!
In your life, top holding on to a false sense of reality, PUT DOWN THE BLOODY COAT!

God does have a plan for your life, even when we don't understand, the bloody coat had a purpose! A great famine came in the land, Joseph's family would have starved if Joseph wasn't a leader in Egypt, the only place during the famine that had food!!

Happy New Year!

What a year it has been for the Dover Apostolic Church!
We have settled into our new church building and God has
provided us with many blessing in 2012! We were able to
get some driveway and parking lot repairs done along with
lawn and landscape improvements and we now have a larger
shed in which we can store lawn & driveway equipment!

We are looking forward to putting some focus this year on:
UNITY!
As the body of Christ we need our brothers and sisters to
help us through life's trials. God's desire is for us to lean
on each other and strengthen each other!
Last year God blessed us with exterior provision, this year
he will bless us with interior provision! It's not the interior
of the church that we're anticipating provision for, (although
interior provisions will come) it's the people inside! This is
the year for the people inside the church to receive God's
provision for each of our individual lives!  As we allow God
to transform us individually we will be transformed into a
UNIFIED body of believers that can be part of God's
provision to a community in need!
"I need you, you need me, we're all a part of God's body"!

Eph. 4: 3-5: 3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Pastor Joe Perry delivered a moving message
titled: "I Will Rise". Because Jesus Christ rose
from the grave, we too will RISE! We will rise
from life's challenges and be victorious!
